Kloverbox review – September 2018

Hi sweeties,

Another month = another Kloverbox. I was really looking forward to review this one since I saw that there was a nail polish and some candy inside.

If you still don’t know how this subscription box works; here it goes:

  • Choose your plan. Choose from monthly or 3 and 6 months shipments and save! The more months you take, the cheaper the box gets.
  • Kloverbox will choose the best cruelty-free/vegan natural/organic products of that month and ship them to you.
  • Then it’s up to you to discover all their products and feel happy while using them since they’re all eco-friendly. NO GUILT AT ALL, yay!

The September box includes a facial cream, a dry shampoo, a face mask and flushable derrière wipes.

Delizioso Skin Care – Coffee Berry Brighten Facial Cream

The first thing you notice about this bottle is that it is very stiff which makes it very difficult to get some of the product out. I do like the scent of the cream but to me it smells more like coffee and almonds than coffee and berries. The cream is quite thick which makes it take longer to be fully absorbed in the skin. I tried the cream once and unfortunately I had some break outs on my skin (I think because the cream contains coconut oil). That made me decide to only use the cream on my body and not on my face.

Nature Derived Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is something I probably use every week since my hair is super oily and I’d have to wash my hair pretty much every day. It’s the second time I have tried a powder dry shampoo in stead of the regular spray ones. It worked pretty well! You apply it on your scalp with a make-up brush and the powder gets absorbed quite quickly. I will definitely be taking this one on the plane with me next weekend since I’ll be on a 10h flight to Egypt and my hair ALWAYS looks greasy upon arrival.

Potion Handmade Face Forward Mask V. 2.0

44481321_294054411207197_1800658879864897536_n
This product was not really my favorite. It’s a powder mask that needs water added to it before applying it on the face. You’re supposed to mix 1 teaspoon of the powder with 1 teaspoon of water but that made the paste quite thick and almost impossible to apply. Maybe more water will do better next time but I don’t think I’ll be using it again. I prefer a mask that’s ready to be put on fast than still having to mix things up. I’d also say this mask is very overpriced for the amount of product you get.

regular retail price: $ 18.00

Tailfeathers Flushable Derrière Wipes – coconut hibiscus

What I love about this product is that it is totally made out of plant-based ingredients and never was tested on animals. It also has a nice smell to it; I can’t really say if it’s really coconut and hibiscus scented though. On the downside, the quality of the wipes itself could really be better. While trying to get a wipe out of the package my finger went straight through it. Because of that I’ll just be using it as face wipes for my daughter in stead of as derrière wipes.

regular retail price: $ 6.00

Pixi by Petra – Pixi Beauty

Hi sweeties,

About two days ago I received a package in the mail that I was not expecting at all. When I looked at the box I saw ‘Pixi Beauty’; OMG! Since I moved to Canada I’ve seen this brand becoming really popular by bloggers and influencers and of course I wanted to try it as well. So that time has finally come; I get to try out their new liquid fairy lights eyeshadows and the glow-y gossamer duos.  Continue reading

Pure Anada – a Canadian organic cosmetic brand

Hi sweeties,

Since last week people were celebrating earth week, I thought it would be time to share my experiences with you of a new cosmetic brand that I have recently discovered: Pure Anada. They are an organic make-up and skincare brand based in Canada. All their ingredients can be found in nature and are cruelty free. They have their own brand ‘Pura Anada’ but they also sell other items as bath salts, body lotions, hair care, etc.

Since I recently told myself that I should take better care of my skin ( I’m kind of lazy when it comes to my own skincare and never knew which products would be good for me) I thought this would be a good start using more natural make-up since it would be impossible to do any harm.

The products I got to try out are a purify toner, a pureline eye pencil, a lip oil tint and a liquid concealer.

KLORANE – dry shampoos for the win

Hi sweeties,

If you are just like me, a girl who has to wash her hair every day because it gets oily so fast, then make sure you continue reading this blogpost. I had the chance to test two of the new dry shampoos that Klorane has produced and I am very happy about them.

I have struggled with oily hair for years (and I still am) and that has made me try different kinds of shampoos, dry shampoos and even other methods. So of course I was willing to try these two dry shampoos to see if they were any different than the ones I had tried before.
