Garnier Bio Review

Hi sweeties,

Here I am again with a fun beauty product review. A couple of weeks ago I received a package that included the new biological skincare line from Garnier; Garnier BIO (or in the uk Garnier Organic).

I had the chance to test 6 of their products which were the Lavandin Glow Facial Oil (Lavendel Revitaliserende Gezichtsolie), the Argan Multi Use Rescue Balm (Argan Herstellende Balsem) the Konjac Botanical Cleansing Sponge (Exfoliërende Konjac Spons), the Purifying Thyme Perfecting Toner (Tijm Perfectionerende Toner), the Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash (Citroengras Detox Reinigingsgel) and the Lavandin Anti Age Day Cream (Lavendel Anti-Age Dagcrème).

Lavandin Glow Facial Oil

This facial oil is enriched with organic argan oil and vitamin E which is supposed to make your skin more supple and improved in quality. I love the smell and in the first week I used it on a daily basis, but then I decided to stop using the oil. Unfortunately for me, as someone that has an oily skin already, this oil leads to break outs on my face. If you have a dry skin I would totally recommend this product.

Argan Multi Use Rescue Balm

If you have dry skin or just some dry/rough areas on your body as elbows or knees, than this balm is what you need. The organic shea butter soothes and nourishes your skin and will give your skin more comfort. I mostly use it for my elbows as they tend to get a little dry sometimes and after 1/2 weeks you can already notice some difference.

Konjac Botanical Cleansing Sponge

This sponge was totally new to me. Never have I ever used any kind of sponge to cleanse my face let alone one with konjac (had no idea what it was tbh). Before using it I decided I was going to check out some reviews to see how it worked exactly. All you have to do is soak it in warm water before the first use to make it soft and then you just use it with your facial cleanser and TADAAAAHH. It makes your skin feel soft and super exfoliated.

Purifying Thyme Perfecting Toner + Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash

Here come my two favorite products of the biological/organic line! The facial cleanser and toner. As mentioned before I always use the cleanser together with the konjac sponge. The lemongrass makes your skin feel clean and smelling fresh. I do have to say that I don’t really believe in the ‘spray it on your face’ as the packaging says. Just put a bit of the product on your hands or sponge first and then apply it to your face and wash it of with some water.

The toner is something I use on a daily basis and even twice a day actually, morning and evening. I just put some drops on a cotton pad and apply it to my face. My pores get smaller and it mattifies my skin, I just LOVE it. I would totally compare this product to the Glow Tonic from PixiBeauty.

Lavandin Anti Age Day Cream

An anti-aging day cream is something that I could really use right now; yes, as a 24 year old I am already getting wrinkles on my forehead, thank you very much! But unfortunately this day cream is not the right fit for me. Just as the facial oil, this cream leads to break outs on my face. So I’d say that if you have a dry skin and want your face to look smoother, give this one a try, but I won’t be using it any longer.

Retail price in Belgium: € 13.99

Overall I am quite pleased with this new skincare line, as I am also a big fan of biological and organic skincare products. But if you have an oily skin, make sure to figure out if you should be using these products or not. I’d love for you guys to share your thoughts with me…
